We used die forgings of various shapes to study the effect of grain size and metal flow on the corrosion properties of AK4-1 and B93 alloys. The most intense part of the metal flow and the grain size are determined according to the macrostructure of the forging (Figure 1). In strongly deforming areas, die forging floor and ribs and bosses connections, usually can be observed coarse grain organization, in these areas, the metal flow direction changes.
