The Courier 300 Continuous Analysis System manufactured by Outokumpu, Finland, is now working at the company’s five concentrator plants and has been proven over time to properly verify the effectiveness of the controls on these processes Foundation. The Courier-300 analysis system was reviewed in detail at the annual meeting of the Centenary of the American Institute of Mining and Metallurgical Engineers in 1971. This article deals with fewer analysis systems, however it reviews the Julius 300 sampling system in more detail. The development of sampling equipment effectively capitalized on the company’s extensive knowledge of the problems involved and the testing areas offered by the company’s concentrator. Sampling equipment includes a secondary sampler and six basic different types of primary samplers that can be used in many sampling locations.
