The applications of thio-chlorine reagents in the synthesis of cyclic amines, lactams, lactones and cyclic amino acids are reviewed. Thiophenyl chloride can be thiophenol or diphenyl disulfide and sulfuryl chloride or N-chlorosuccinimide reaction in the system.
