In fact the broadened band is providing a rapid passage for various value-added services that can never be dreamed by dial-up users. Broadband service is increasingly seen as a key engine for its revenue growth. On September 15th China Telecom announced “chinavnet” entry into an all-round business stage. The website “chinavnet” has eight channels as film, game, music, securities, education, live broadcast, documentary and “she age”, in which users could enjoy many services without any barrier. More than 20 partners such as Sina, Tencent, and Sohu provide content including online games, video streaming and other information services. Thus a win-win value chain comes into being between the end users, content and application providers and China Telecom.
