Based on the iceberg cost theory, which introduces the heterogeneity of commodities, using the monthly price data of the representative crude oil in the three major consumer markets in Asia-U.S. From 2002 to 2011, the study finds that the degree of integration among the US and European crude oil markets is high, The level of integration with Asian crude oil markets is low. This difference is mainly manifested as: Compared with the European and American markets, the benchmark oil prices in Asia are high. This not only caused massive losses of foreign exchange in Asian countries, but also caused the cost and competitiveness of the petrochemical and transportation industries in Asian countries to rise.
