盆栽菊花多行扦插繁殖,在6月初至7月中旬进行。抒插主要是剪取新枝上的顶梢;如用中下部做插穗其成活率较低,插活后生长势亦弱。新枝顶梢剪取后,下部又发生新侧枝,可再用其新枝顶梢继续剪取插条。插穗长10厘米左右,剪除下部叶片,留顶梢新叶2—3片。扦插基质要用细河沙,扦插深度约为插穗的1/3,并将插穗周围压实。少量扦插可用花盆或木箱盛装,大量扦插可在荫棚下挖20厘米深的地床中进行。插后最好用
