辛辛那提钢处理公司(CST)通过设计、开发和制造新的气体氮化装置,实现了改进现有热处理方法及使现有设备适应新的功能的目的。 在广泛深入地研究了现有的各种氮化工艺方法之后,这家具有五十二年历史的公司决定使用氮和氨;而不使用氨分解剂的气体氮化工艺。 这家公司优先选用这种工艺,而下用一般的气体氮化工艺和离子氮化工艺,是基于经济和技术两方面的原因。离子氮化的设备投资费用相当高。此外,在获得小齿距齿轮齿根的良好表层性能方面常常会碰到问题。而使用这种新工艺,就能满足金相组织方面的要求,而且所花费的时间比通常使用的两阶段气体氮化工艺要少。为此,最佳的方案,就是对现有设备进行改造和开发。
By designing, developing and manufacturing new gas nitriding units, Cincinnati Steel Processing Company (CST) has achieved the goal of improving existing heat treatment methods and adapting existing equipment to new functions. After extensive and in-depth research on various existing nitridation processes, the 52-year-old company decided to use nitrogen and ammonia instead of a gas nitriding process that uses an ammonia decomposer. The company prefers this process, while the usual gas nitriding and ion nitriding processes are based on both economic and technical reasons. Ion nitriding equipment investment costs are quite high. In addition, problems are often encountered in obtaining good surface properties of the cogged gear tooth roots. The use of this new process will meet the microstructure requirements and will take less time than the commonly used two-stage gas nitriding process. For this reason, the best solution is to retrofit and develop existing equipment.
