繁忙干线图定客车的运行结构具有明显的时段性和组合性特征。受其影响,某一运行区段增开临客的旅行时间具有不确定性。以沪宁线为例,根据不同种类的旅客列车越行类型及次数估算出增开临客的旅行时间,为编制临客运行图和合理调整临客运行线提供依据,以提高旅客的满意率。同时,也从另一个侧面说明建设沪宁城际客运专线的必要性。
