Based on the regulations of research hospital development, the authors made a strategic analysis of the building of the research hospital of the First Hospital of Tsinghua University and summarized the strategic significance, the challenges, the pathway, and the fundamental tasks. In the practice, they put forward the construction goals of making the clinical research center, medical education center, health management demonstration center, medical and engineering research center, and management innovation center in the hospital.
