2005~2006年在江西8个县进行了应用人工繁殖的巴氏钝绥螨控制柑橘全爪螨的多点试验、示范,取得了良好效果。夏季(5月)和秋季(9月),每株挂放1袋巴氏钝绥螨(约600头),释放后15~20d,柑橘全爪螨数量明显下降,3~6个月内不需使用农药防治,其种群数量一直控制在防治指标以下,可减少使用农药4~6次,667m2节约防治成本50~100元。
