我县位于长江下游以南,有10个人民公社,土地总面积1,347平方公里,山区、丘陵约占72%,平原(包括圩区)约占28%。耕地面积599,870亩,作物以水稻为主。境内主要有漳河、资福河、青弋江、孤峰河以及其他一些中小天然涧流,纵横交错,遍布全县。解放后,兴修塘壩水库共20,373处,并在弋江公社重点兴建了柏山渠自流灌溉工程。全县总蓄水量5.4亿公方,水利资源极为丰富,是大力发展水能的有力条件。
My county is located south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. There are 10 people’s communes with a total land area of 1,347 square kilometers, with mountainous areas and hills accounting for about 72%, and plains (including reclamation areas) about 28%. The area of arable land is 599,870 mu. The crop is mainly rice. There are mainly Luohe River, Zifu River, Qingyi River, Gufeng River and other small and medium natural turbulences in the territory, which are criss-crossing and spread throughout the county. After the liberation, a total of 20,373 Tangba Reservoirs were rehabilitated and the Baishan Canal gravity irrigation project was focused on in the Lancangjiang Commune. The total water storage capacity of the county is 540 million square meters, and its water resources are extremely abundant. It is a powerful condition for the vigorous development of hydropower.
