海龙鱼亚科(Syngnathinae)有54属,约200种。海龙和海马属于同一家族,无论形态、生活习惯和食物习性都很相似。海龙体细长,全部包于真皮性骨环中,具棱角;头细长,常具突出的管状吻,头与体轴成一直线。像海马一样,也具有像吸管似的吻部,但是尾巴不像海马的可以盘卷起来。它们栖息在近海植物丛中,某些种类居住在深海。雄鱼也承担怀孕的任务,但是它们没有育儿囊,而是在尾部下方有一片变异了的皮肤,形成许多杯状的结构,卵就附着在里面孵化。虽然多数海龙样子平常,但是海龙家族中拥有海洋里最棒的伪装大师。它们演化出和海藻毫无二致的附肢,使自己和周围的海草混为一体。在这里就让我们见识一下吧。
