由于受国际毒潮的影响,吸毒这一丑恶现象正在广西死灰复燃并且发展蔓延很快。到1994年底,广西已有吸毒人员×万多人,为了进一步摸清掌握广西区吸毒人员参与其他违法犯罪活动的情况,以及因此而对社会治安造成的影响,根据自治区党委和政府领导同志的指示精神,我们从1994年11月开始,在全区范围内开展了历时两个月的吸毒人员参与其他违法犯罪活动的情况调查。从调查得到的情况看,我区吸毒人员参与其他违法犯罪活动的情况十分严重,各种违法犯罪活动的典型事例确实令人触目惊心,吸毒现象的发展蔓延,已经不是一般的治安问题,它不但严重影响了青年一代的身心健康,而且正在严重危害着我区社会治安和经济建设。一、广西区吸毒人员参与其他违法犯罪活动的基本情况全区吸毒人员参与其他违法犯罪活动的情况调查,是在1994年6月结束的全区吸毒人员基本情况调查的基础上再次开展的,旨在摸清吸毒者参与其他违法犯罪的基本情况,反映吸毒给社会治安带来的危害。根据各地调查掌握的情况,全区现有吸毒者中,参与违法犯罪活动的20061人,这些人作案26931起,造成经济损失1228.677万元。在这些犯罪活动中,参与贩毒的3658人,占18.24%,杀人的16人,占0.08%,伤害314
