Japan relies on the railway to set up the South Manchurian Railway Company. Japan enjoys a high degree of autonomy within the railroad subsidiary. The subsidiary of Fengtian Railway is most importantly attached to the South Manchurian Railway. Japan uses it to control the northeast of China. Politically, they used this as their basis to interfere in China’s internal affairs. In the economy, they set up factories to forcibly tax the people and fish people. In terms of culture, they started schools, published newspapers, and promoted foolish people.
