根据四川省人民委员会1958年9月30日报告,决定:在阿壩藏族自治州壤塘地区设立壤塘县,县的行政区域为原相当于区级的壤塘行政委员会所辖地区。
According to the report of the Sichuan Provincial People’s Committee on September 30, 1958, it was decided that Rangtang County should be set up in the area of Nangtang in Aba Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. The administrative area of the prefecture is the area under the jurisdiction of the Rangtang Administrative Committee at the district level.
