糖尿病是中老年人的多发病和常见病之一。据临床观察,冬季是该病病情加重和发生并发症较多的季节。那么,糖尿病患者在冬天该如何进行自我保健,平安度过严冬呢?节制饮食糖尿病患者本来就食量较大,尤其在冬天,气温下降,出汗减少,各种消化液分泌增加,食欲更旺,这也是血糖升高的因素之一。故应在医生指导下制订科学的食谱,控制主食如米、面及淀粉类食物,忌食糖及甜糕点。有饥饿感时,可增加豆制品、乳类等副食。多吃些新鲜蔬菜,以满足机体需要。心理调节过度的喜怒和悲伤,都会导致糖尿病情加重或降低治疗效果。
