在Windows95/98系统中,如果采用IE4.0以上版本的浏览器上网的话,系统会自动把你测览过的网页中的“某些”文件储存在 C:WindowsTemporaryInternet Files这个目录里(主要是图形文件),这个临时文件夹的功能主要用来帮助Windows节省读取网页的时间。 电脑连上万维网工作的过程,就是将网页文件“读取”或者“下载”到电脑中的过程;以“读取”模式而言,当电脑上出现某个网站的网页时,其实就是电脑将网页相关文件临时存在内存中,然后将这个网页显示在显示器屏幕上,而当你读取别的网页时,电脑就会把原先网页的文件从内存中踢出去,换成新网页的文件。
