The method of neural network has been widely used in the petroleum exploration and development. Thepaper gives a breif description of neural netWork, and then deals with its application in the loginterpretation, especially in the calculation of the remaining oil saturation in detail. The method includesnetwork learning, network interpretation and result analysis and so on. The interpretation result isaccurate, the error of every parameter is Smaller, and it is of great importance for the evaluation of waterflooded beds and research on the distribution of remaining oil in high water-cut reservoirs.
