The dissemination of new media by the spread of the Internet (CMC) has become a hotspot in communication science. Among them, the search for a romantic relationship or sexual relationship through the network has become a new research direction. This article attempts to explore how individuals are exposed and self-presented in the CMC, together with their causes and consequences. Found that the network is based on the more controllability of literal communication, the lack of non-verbal clues, the asynchronous communication, giving users more opportunities and time to consciously construct and disseminate information, resulting in selective self-presentation. Second, the security afforded by factors such as network anonymity and distance makes users more willing and faster to self-expose themselves and as a result of the principle of reciprocity, both parties exchange more and deeper self-disclosure. This selective self-disclosure and self-exposure, therefore, allows both parties on the network to be more like each other and to enter intimately and ideally each other more quickly and to create a CMC loop that makes intimacy more in-depth and faster.
