骨保护素 (Osteoprotegerin ,OPG)及其配体 (OPGL)的发现是近年来骨代谢研究领域的又一项重要发现。OPG是一种可溶性肿瘤坏死因子受体 ,主要通过与OPGL结合而起作用。OPG不仅抑制破骨细胞 (OC)生成 ,而且还抑制OC的骨吸收功能。对于骨质疏松、免疫性骨关节损害、恶性肿瘤并发体液性高钙血症等疾病 ,OPG可能具有有效的治疗作用。
The discovery of osteoprotegerin (OPG) and its ligand (OPGL) is another important discovery in the field of bone metabolism in recent years. OPG is a soluble tumor necrosis factor receptor that functions primarily through binding to OPGL. OPG not only inhibits osteoclast (OC) production, but also inhibits OC’s bone resorption function. OPG may have an effective therapeutic effect on diseases such as osteoporosis, autoimmune bone and joint injuries, and malignant tumor complicated with hyperlipemia.
