矿业地质统计学概论包括绪言、地质变量及其统计特性的推断,最佳数学模型的构造、地质统计预测方法等四个主体内容。 矿业地质统计学(简称地质统计学)与其他应用学科一样,是由于生产的需要并从实践中产生出来的,开发矿业必然使地质统计方法应运而生。到目前为止,这门学科的理论原理和方法体系都达到了较高的程度,据不完全的统计,1977年以前,世界各国有200多个矿山成功地应用了地质统计方法,成了有的国家矿山地质工作的通用标准,一些计算中心也建立了以地质统计预测为核心的计算系统。
