在汽车上从动桥通常是前桥,且又是转向桥,其功用是承受地面与车架之间的垂直载荷,纵向力和横向力,并保证转向车轮作正确的运动。由于前轮悬架型式不同,从动桥的结构组成和承受载荷也不同。最常用的从动桥一般为非断开式前轴用纵置半椭圆板簧与车架相连,前轴两端与转向节绞接。汽车行驶时,车轮受到的垂直力,纵向力和横向力均由板簧传给车架。本文只介绍非分段式从动桥。
