本文对殖民时期发生在关岛历史上的两个重要事件的不同历史记载进行比较:1521年麦哲伦在西班牙皇室的支持下进行首度环球航行在关岛逗留期间发生的一系列事件及1898年美西战争期间美国对关岛的入侵。对不同历史记载仔细阅读,我们便发现了历史编纂过程中的一些重要问题,比如民族主义、殖民主义、本土认同的形成及历史书写过程中的权力与政治。
This article compares the different historical records of two important events in the history of Guam during the colonial period: a series of events that occurred in 1521 when Magellan made his first global voyage with him with the support of the Spanish royal family during his stay in Guam; and the 1898 U.S.-West War U.S. Invasion to Guam During When we read carefully the different historical records, we find some important issues in the process of historical compilation, such as nationalism, colonialism, the formation of local identity and the power and politics in historical writing.
