美军1994财政年度预算的需求在整个职责性的取利中要比1993财政年度的拨款法案少31亿美元。此预算的制定意在继续对冷战后的军队进行改组和重新调整,同时保持一支优质军事力量以满足国家军事战略的所有要求。此预算继续进行的重要的军队初步行动包括:国防工商业军事行动基金的问题,化学的非军事化问题以及环境恢复问题等。此计划将为1997财年节省210亿美元。
The U.S. military's budget demand for fiscal 1994 was 3.1 billion U.S. dollars less than the fiscal appropriation bill for the entire fiscal year. The budget is intended to continue the restructuring and readjustment of the post-cold-war armies while maintaining a high-quality military presence to meet all the requirements of the national military strategy. Important initial military operations on this budget include the issue of the Fund for Defense Business Coalition Operations, the demilitarization of chemistry and the issue of environmental restoration. This plan will save 21 billion US dollars for the fiscal year of 1997.
