The short storyWhere Is the Voice Coming From?effectively and remarkably illustrates Wiebes writing techniques and humanity thoughts. With the stylistic analysis of the points of view, tone, diction, sentence variety, rhetorical devices and graphological features presented in the work, it can be seen how well Wiebe can do in touching and enlightening readers with his writing skills and techniques. Through what he presents in the story, Wiebe ironically overthrows the authority of Canadian po-lice on making the historical story and calls on people to ponder on the truth and the wordless cry of the Cree Indians. And at the same time, he calls for peoples more understanding, trust and respect for the minority culture, an essential part of a complete multicultural country.
