Take a diameter of 30-40mm, about 350-400mm long with a plug tube, insert two metal electrodes in the rubber plug, placed in a glass tank with water, the electrode connected to the induction ring. Method of Operation A high-voltage arc generated by an induction coil is discharged in a sealed tube and nitrogen in the air trapped in the glass tube is oxidized to nitric oxide. The colorless nitric oxide formed in the air and the oxygen in the air combine to form brown nitrogen dioxide. When the brown gas appears in the tube, the induction coil power can be cut off. Once the reaction is stopped, the brown gas in the tube slowly disappears. This shows that the nitrogen dioxide has started to hydrate into nitric acid and nitrous acid. Reaction formula: 2NO_2+H_2O=HNO_3+HNO_2 (or 3NO_2+H_2O=2HNO_3+NO)
