生态文化建设是一个地区经济社会实现可持续发展的必然选择,也是提升区域核心竞争力的重要内容。作为河南省面积最大、人口最多的省辖市,南阳市生态文化建设的基本定位应当是河南省生态经济示范区和具有鲜明时代特色和地域特色的文化强市。为此要围绕三大主题和三种文化,大力宣传生态文化,营造浓厚社会氛围;加强环境保护工作,创建生态宜居城市;实施品牌带动战略,建设一批特色品牌项目;创新经营管理机制,提升景区服务水平,从而全面提高人的生态文明素质和实现南阳市经济社会又好又快发展。
