乾隆皇帝可以说是作诗高手,据一些学者统计其曾做的御制诗保存至今并收录诗集的就有四万余首。仅乾隆皇帝一人的产量就堪比清康熙年间编篡的《全唐诗》。乾隆曾自谓:“几务之暇,无他可娱,往往作为诗古文赋。文赋不数十篇,诗则托兴寄情,朝吟夕讽,其间天时农事之宜,莅朝将事之典以及时巡所至,山川名胜,风土淳漓,莫不形诸咏歌,纪其梗概。”①由此可知乾隆皇帝十分酷爱吟咏
