BACKGROUND: Parkinson’s disease patients have motor evoked potentials, event-related potentials, somatosensory evoked potentials and other evoked potential abnormalities, suggesting that in addition to extrapyramidal lesions in patients with Parkinson’s disease, other neuronal pathways are also involved. Objective: To study the changes of brainsteanotrophic evoked potential (BAEP) and visualevoked potential (VEP) in patients with Parkinson’s disease and their relationship with clinical manifestations of mental retardation. Design: Case-control study. Unit: Yangpu District, Shanghai East Hospital. PARTICIPANTS: 186 patients with Parkinson’s disease were treated in the Shanghai East Hospital of Yangpu District, Shanghai. The diagnosis met the diagnostic criteria of Parkinson’s disease adopted by the National Seminar on Extrapyramidal Diseases except the atypical symptoms and signs that do not support this disease, such as pyramidal tract Signs and disabilities of gait disorders, cerebellar symptoms, intention tremor, gaze paralysis, severe autonomic dysfunction, obvious dementia with mild extrapyramidal symptoms, and by head CT or MRI, electrocardiogram, chest X-ray , Liver and kidney function tests except for secondary Parkinson’s syndrome. According to the above criteria, 70 patients (Parkinson’s disease group), 32 males and 38 females; aged 49 to 76 years, mean (62.2 ± 6.4) years; education years 0 to 15 years, an average of (8.9 ± 5.5) years ; Duration of 1 to 9 years, an average of (4.7 ± 2.3) years. The normal control group of 60 patients, 28 males and 32 females; aged 50 to 69 years, mean (59.9 ± 5.3) years; educational years 0 to 15 years, an average of (7.7 ± 6.4) years, , Volunteered to participate. Methods: According to the unified Parkinson’s disease rating scale (Unified Parkinson’s Rating Scale, UPDRS) score survey. Intelligent determination using Hasegawa
