自从《好人难寻》出版以来,奥康纳受到了评论界更多的关注,文学批评家们试图解开隐藏在故事背后的深刻意义。本文从圣经思想出发,探讨故事中蕴含的奥康纳的神学思想。故事讲述了一家六口开车去佛罗里达旅行,尽管奶奶坚决反对他们所选择的目的地,最终全家被杀害。故事中整个旅行是充满了连续铺垫的。老奶奶不想去佛罗里达,想让儿子贝利重新考虑他的选择目的地,就告诉全家有个叫“不合时宜的人”的罪犯在逃往佛罗里达的路
O’Connor has received more attention from the critics since the publication of “Good Man Hard to Find”, and literary critics have tried to unravel the profound meaning hidden behind the story. This article starts from the bible thought and explores O’Connor’s theological thought contained in the story. The story tells of a family of six traveling to Florida, eventually killing the entire family despite Grandma’s firm opposition to their chosen destination. The whole trip in the story is full of continuous bedding. Granny did not want to go to Florida and wanted his son, Bailey, to reconsider his choice of destination, telling the whole family that there was a way for criminals called “outdated people” to fled to Florida
