1985年以来,武汉市建材工业局贯彻大家办建材的方针,结合本地区实际,变部门管理为行业管理,加强横向经济联系,促进了市属建材企业在生产经营方面实现了“三个转变”,即:由生产型转向生产经营型;由封闭型转向开放型;由产品单一型转向多元型。提高了产品的竞争力,增强了企业活力,扩大了建材产品的辐射面,促进了武汉建材工业的发展。1985年,全市建材工业总产值达3.45亿元,比1984年增长15.3%,提前五年翻了一番,受到市政府的好评。其主要做法是:
