本刊第4期在纪念周恩来同志百年诞辰综述中提到周总理处理“巴航放油”事件,一些读者询问此事详情。为此,本期发表张克智同志关于此事的回忆文章。——编者我是1973年3月调到中南海工作的。9月的一天晚上,我与王书明在国务院值班室值班,突然接到民航总局值班室的电话报告:“有一架巴基斯坦航空公司的波音720飞机,从首都机场起飞返回巴基斯坦卡拉奇机场。飞机升空5分钟后,塔台指挥员接到机组的报告,说该机第三台发动机起火,飞机随时有机毁人亡的危险,要求空中放油后返回首都机场降落。”塔台指挥员请示
