In order to investigate the protective effect of heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) on infectious brain edema in rats, the model of infectious brain edema caused by pertussis bacilli was used and the rats were subjected to heat shock treatment to observe the expression of white blood cells The levels of IL-1β, TNF-α and NO were detected by Western blotting. The expression of HSP70 in rat brain was detected by Western blot. The results showed that the concentration of IL-1β, TNF-α and NO in brain tissue of infectious brain edema were increased, and heat shock treatment could reduce the concentration of above three. Western blot analysis showed that heat shock significantly increased the content of HSP70 in rat brain. The results suggest that the protective effect of heat stress on rat brain edema is related to the increase of HSP70 in brain tissue.
