提出了一种应用于正交矢量空间(变换域),加快图像矢量量化的新算法.该算法利用图像信号在正交矢量空间中的能量集中性,有效地减小了码书的搜索范围,加快了矢量量化速度.计算机模拟结果表明,在相同的技术指标下,与其他一些方法相比,该算法能够有效地减少矢量量化的编码时间.
A new algorithm which is applied to orthogonal vector space (transform domain) to speed up image vector quantization is proposed. The algorithm uses the energy concentration of the image signal in the orthogonal vector space, effectively reduces the search range of the codebook and speeds up the vector quantization. Computer simulation results show that under the same technical specifications, compared with some other methods, this algorithm can effectively reduce the vector quantization coding time.
