上海市精神卫生中心(原名上海市精神病防治院)建立于1958年,第一任院长粟宗华,现任院长严和骎。目前本中心下设分部(即北桥分院)及精神卫生研究所。共有病床近两千张,医生近两百人,护士五百余人。本中心尚负责上海市二十多个区县精神病院的业务联络及指导工作,七十年代以来,已形成了一个全市性的精神卫生服务网,受到卫生部及上海市领导的良好评价。本中心还是上海医科大学、第二医科大学及铁道医学院的教学医院。著名
The Shanghai Mental Health Center (formerly known as the Shanghai Psychiatric Hospital) was established in 1958. The first dean, Su Zonghua, was the current director of the Institute. At present, the Center consists of sub-divisions (ie, the Northbridge Branch) and the Institute of Mental Health. There are nearly 2,000 sickbeds, nearly 200 doctors and more than 500 nurses. The Center is also responsible for the business liaison and guidance work of the mental hospitals in more than 20 districts and counties in Shanghai.
