According to the results of experimental studies and production practices, the authors believe that the coarse filter material’s inverse particle size filter can be flushed with very high backwashing strength, and theoretically proves that the coarse sand filter layer is capable of strong water flow shear. The backwash is performed in the high efficiency zone under the double action of force and filter particle friction.
