2μm激光晶体Ho:YAP理论及实验分析

介绍了一种适合于掺杂Ho3+的激光基质,Ho:YAlO3(Ho:YAP)。这种基质相对于现阶段常用的Ho:YAG、Ho:YLF、Ho:GdVO4有着较为明显的优势,吸收谱线较宽、吸收截面大、各向异性、生长周期短、输出功率不易饱和等。通过计算证明了Ho:YAP作为激光晶体的可能性,并实验研究了Ho:YAP这种新激光晶体的输出特性。当注入Tm:YLF的功率为15.6 W时,得到8.57 W连续输出的、波长为2 118 nm的Ho:YAP激光。斜率效率达到63.7%,Tm:YLF到Ho:YAP的转换效率为54.5%,光束质量因子M2为1.39。 A suitable Ho3 + -doped laser matrix, Ho: YAlO3 (Ho: YAP), is introduced. Compared with the commonly used Ho: YAG, Ho: YLF, Ho: GdVO4, this kind of matrix has obvious advantages such as broad absorption spectrum, large absorption cross section, anisotropy, short growth period, less saturation of output power and so on. The possibility of using Ho: YAP as a laser crystal was proved by calculation, and the output characteristic of Ho: YAP, a new laser crystal, was experimentally studied. When the power injected into Tm: YLF was 15.6 W, a Ho: YAP laser with a wavelength of 2 118 nm and 8.57 W continuous output was obtained. The slope efficiency reaches 63.7%, the conversion efficiency of Tm: YLF to Ho: YAP is 54.5% and the beam quality factor M2 is 1.39.
