提出了一种针对细节丰富的静态图像的压缩算法。它根据图像经小波 ( Wavelet)分解后系数的特点和人眼视觉特性 ( HVS)对 Shapiro的 EZW( Embedded zerotree wavelet)算法进行改进 ,解决了 EZW算法不能有效地压缩细节丰富图像的问题 ,同时对一般图像的编码仍保留了 EZW算法的高效性。
A compression algorithm for detail-rich still images is proposed. It improves Shapiro’s EZW (Embedded zerotree wavelet) algorithm according to the characteristics of wavelet coefficients after wavelet decomposition and human visual characteristics (HVS), and solves the problem that EZW algorithm can not effectively compress the detail-rich image. Meanwhile, The coding of the general image still retains the EZW algorithm’s efficiency.
