I am jealous of those parents who, after a day of work, are enthusiastic about reading stories to their children and helping them to do their homework or to simply chat with them. Ten years ago, I was fortunate if one day I could pack a meal plate and lock it before it was completely exhausted. At that time, my husband had just died of cancer, leaving me with my three-year-old son and six-year-old daughter. During the day, the siblings have good caregivers in the nanny; at night, they also need a dedicated mother, but I only want to put on the pajamas faster, fall asleep. It was that noodle disaster that forced me to take my chat with the children at night seriously and make it a family practice. That night, I was resting on the couch with my eyes closed. The two children were eating dinner. In a moment, I was suddenly awakened by the strange “pop-wow” sound and laughter coming from the kitchen. I quickly ran to see, I saw two children are energetically blowing the noodles, hanging around the pot rack, dipped in the wall, kitchen side hanging all the root noodles!
