Recently, dietary protein has been identified as one of the factors that affect plasma cholesterol. It has been observed in many animal models and human experiments that animal protein diets are more likely to cause elevated plasma cholesterol levels than vegetable protein diets. Dynamic and plant dietary protein cholesterol-induced blood cholesterol differences between the amino acids contained in its composition. According to Krithersky et al., Dietary motility and plant protein have different effects on plasma cholesterol levels and are caused by different dietary ratios of arginine and lysine (Lys). They found that adding Lys into plant protein feed or supplementing Arg with animal protein feed significantly altered rabbit’s cholesterol blood response to dietary protein. In uremic mammals, Arg’s metabolic response is bidirectional. Because Arg is not only an important substrate but also a synthesis in the urea decomposition cycle
