通常认为:大鼠生后头3周内为中枢神经系统发育的临界期。在此期间,如果甲状腺激素不足,则可致大脑和脊髓之生长和发育严重受损,并有行为损害。但作者认为先前的这些实验大多有不足之处。故本次实验采取如下方法:①用放免法(RI-A)测定血TSH、T_4,T_3浓度;②行为活动和学习能力的测试于甲低恢复后立即进行;③提供甲低大鼠恢复后其脑—垂体—甲状腺轴的动力学资料,尤其是此时甲状腺轴对于应激的反应情况。
