弗雷德里克·詹姆逊 (FredricJameson)在我国学术界相当知名 ,他的著作已有九部翻译出版 ,至少有三人以他为题写了博士论文。可以说 ,他是当前重要的理论家之一。今年七、八月之交 ,他应邀来华访问 ,先后在华东师大、中国社会科学院、《读书》杂志和湖南师大进行学术交流 ,就其即将出版的新书作了系列演讲 ,其间还参观了革命圣地延安。他的新书题名《单一的现代性》 ,是针对“9 11”事件之后右翼势力的复旧而写的 ,从分析现代性扩展到后现代主义 ,并提出晚期现代主义的概念。本文主要从历史角度阐述现代性 ,具有较高的学术理论价值 Fredric Jameson is quite well-known in China’s academia. His book has been translated and published in nine books. At least three writers have written doctoral dissertations on him. It can be said that he is one of the most important theorists. At the turn of July and August of this year, he was invited to visit China and conducted academic exchanges successively with East China Normal University, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Reading Magazine and Hunan Normal University, and also gave a series of speeches on his forthcoming new book while visiting Yan’an, the revolutionary shrine. His new title, entitled “Single Modernity,” was written in response to the revival of the right-wing forces after the “9/11” incident, from the analysis of modernity to post-modernism and the concept of late modernism.
