1986年10月7日,北京外国语学院西语系专家、西班牙籍教师玛丽亚·列塞亚以自己在国外西语讲坛上几十年辛勤耕耘的成果,荣获西班牙国王卡洛斯一世授予的“智慧阿方索十世勋章”。与她同时受勋的还有中国著名翻译家杨绛女士,她用优美的文字将世界名著《堂·吉诃德》从西语译成汉语。以西班牙中世纪著名智者阿方索十世的名字命名的“智慧阿方索十世勋章”,是西班牙国王授予在西语教学及传播西语文化方面作出卓越贡献的教师和艺术家们的最高荣誉。
