Objective: To investigate the value of three-dimensional ultrasound in the diagnosis of fetal microcephaly. Methods: Five cases of microcephaly fetus in 84 671 pregnant women undergoing prenatal ultrasound screening were examined by two-dimensional and three-dimensional ultrasonography. Results: Two-dimensional ultrasonography showed that the BPD and HC of all the 5 cases were more than 3 standard deviations less than the actual mean gestational age. Three-dimensional reconstruction showed that the fetal cranial stenosis and the anterior Bland, bovine disappeared close to closure. Conclusion: Three-dimensional ultrasound can provide more head diagnosis information on the basis of two-dimensional ultrasound diagnosis of fetal microcephaly. It can directly and stereoscopically display the three-dimensional morphology of the microcephaly of fetal skull, anterior fontanel and posterior fontanel, Evaluation of the prognosis of microcephaly, guiding clinical intervention can not be ignored, is an important complement to two-dimensional ultrasound.
