張旭真書《郎官石柱記序》有多品名人題跋,計明清兩代二十二人三十六跋,各跋文除涉及張旭楷書風格及與草書關聯的品評外,亦有論及張旭書法淵源與傳統藉鑒問題,其中翁方綱等堅持認爲張旭書法源于褚遂良,但通過細究其他跋文並梳理有關張旭書法史料可知,張旭實藉鑒智永、虞、陸等,與褚書無關,由此追溯,可知張旭實遠追並頗得晉人之意,在這一點上,唐人正書無能出《郎官石柱記序》右者。
