McCarthyism, as a historical term, is neither a theoretical system nor a political declaration, nor is it a political campaign. It is an extremely anti-Communist and anti-democratic politics that lasted five years in the political arena of the United States trend. From 1950 to 1954, during the McCarthy posture in the United States, the United States was in a dark historical period - the “McCarthy era.” In this abnormal era, the anti-communist and anti-democratic political persecution is rampant. Everyone is in jeopardy of suspicion and horror, and the climate of terror has enveloped the entire United States. “People are afraid of the Communist Party and are equally afraid of being called the Communist Party. Being a witch is no way to prove that you are not. ”Anyone may lose his job or be excluded from society because of misunderstanding and resentment“ and tens of thousands of people are being persecuted for unwarranted charges. At the same time, it has also brought about civil strife in the ruling circles, involving the monopoly of the bourgeoisie and the security of the bourgeois democracy. From this we can see that McCarthyism had an extremely bad influence on the internal affairs of the United States. So, what impact does it have on the relations between the United States and ”Communist China"? This article attempts to discuss this issue.
