由于各种原因,水平仪本身经常会有误差。正确使用水平仪时,应该回转180°再次测量被测物体的水平度,如果两次气泡不在同一位置(刻线)上,那就证明水平仪本身有误差。通常,在来不及调整的情况下,也可在使用时消除水平仪自身误差的影响。这里,我们介绍以下两种情况下的误差清除法:(1)水平仪在调头180°前后,气泡都偏向一边,前一次气泡往左偏3格(图1a),后一次仍在左偏1格(图1b),此时水平仪自身误差应为(3-1)/2=1格。被测物体的不平度误差应为(3+1)/2=2格,即左边高2格。只要使水泡右移2格即能使被测物保持水平(图1c)。
