2002年11月9日“消防宣传日”,笔者发现每个宣传点都群情踊跃,如同农村赶集一样的热闹,群众都争相询问消防知识,领取消防宣传资料,现场充满着过节一样的气氛。自从1998年《中华人民共和国消防法》颁布施行以来,各地消防条例基本上都把11月9日定为“消防宣传日”,每年这一天都会发动各种宣传媒介,开展消防宣传,大造声势,现场无疑都是这般热闹的。但是联想到一年来的消防宣传工作,我的心情却有些沉重,因为除了这一天,我们在消防宣传方面的工作做得实在太少,从全国消防宣传方面来看,都存在着同样的问题:“消防宣传日”到来时,百花齐放、百家争鸣,宣传日一过,便立即偃旗息鼓,整个过程如同昙花一现。

However, I think it is a bit heavier to think about the fire prevention propaganda work in the past year because apart from this day, we have done too little work on fire prevention and publicity. From the point of view of the national fire prevention publicity, all share the same problem: When the “Fire Propaganda Day” arrived, all flowers were blooming, a hundred schools of thought contend, and the propaganda day was over. Then the event was immediately extinguished, and the whole process was short-lived.
