The authors used D-penicillamine to treat 11 patients with severe and disabling scleroderma after 1974-1966 with one of the following characteristics: (1) linear scleroderma with contracture and extensive subcutaneous (2) facial disfiguring scleroderma, (3) generalized macular degeneration, involving most of the body surface, and invasion of subcutaneous tissue, including 8 females and 3 males, aged 4 to 44 years old, Under 10 years old
