桃江县域面积2063平方公里,人口86万,辖15个乡镇和1个省级经济开发区,是有名的“建材之乡”和“有色金属之乡”。多年来,桃江县高度重视安全生产工作,认真贯彻执行国家和省市安全生产工作方针政策,紧紧围绕“安全生产年”的工作目标,创新工作方法,突出工作重点,采取了一系列行之有效的措施,消除了大量安全隐患,安全事故逐年下降,全县安全生产形势持续稳定好转。
